The Metro-Minnesota Community Oncology Research Consortium (MMCORC) is a nonprofit research program sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and participating hospitals and clinics. Local physician have access to the newest advances in cancer research. The MMCORC links community cancer specialists, primary care physicians and other health care professionals to NCI-approved research studies, called clinical trials.
The NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) brings cancer research studies and results to patients in a variety of community settings across the United States. 7 Research Bases Develop and coordinate clinical trials and cancer care research for 32 Community Sites and 14 Minority/Underserved Community Sites to bring NCI approved trials to patients including 1,000+ locations at diverse, community-based hospitals, private practices and more.
The Minnesota Cancer Clinical Trials Network (MNCCTN) is a cancer clinical trials network with locations across Minnesota, funded by the Minnesota legislature as part of the University of Minnesota's overall MnDRIVE Strategic Investment Request. Led by the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota, MNCCTN partner organizations like MMCORC aim to improve cancer outcomes for all Minnesotans through greater access to cancer clinical trials in prevention and treatment.
